Family Camping

Pack 378 goes on two family campouts per year, one in the spring and one in the fall.  Family camping is one of the staples of the Cub Scout program and is an activity that the whole family can enjoy.

The pack rotates between the scout ranches of Longhorn Council and Circle 10 Council.  These camps have facilities appropriate for Cub Scout aged youth, and restroom facilities.

To sign up for family camp, fill out the appropriate form and pay for your family.  The signup forms will be circulated prior to camp.  This form will ask for the names and ages/ranks of all attendees, and the fee is typically $15 per person up to a maximum of $60 per family. Kids 3 and under are FREE!

You will also need to turn in a BSA Medical Release Form for everyone who will be in-camp.  This includes scouts, leaders, parents, grandparents, and siblings.  Medical forms can be filled out and turned in at pack meetings.

Family camping officially starts at 10 am on Saturday and ends 10 am on Sunday.  Lunch and dinner on Saturday plus breakfast on Sunday are provided and included in the fee.  Here is a suggested packing list for what families will be responsible to bring.  In addition, this Camping Planning Guide 378 provides information about how we generally conduct our campouts.
